TRIBUNALS AND COMMITTEE


Constituted maintenance Tribunals in each Revenue Division headed by Sub Divisional Officer (RDO) for adjudicating and deciding maintenance amount payable to senior citizens if they are not properly cared for by their Children / relatives under section 7(1) of MWPSC Act, 2007.


Appellate Tribunals have also been constituted in all Districts presided over by the District Collectors, to hear the appeals against the orders of the Maintenance Tribunal under section 15(1) of the MWPSC Act, 2007.


The Department has launched a portal "Telangana Senior Citizens Maintenance Cases Monitoring System" (https://tgseniorcitizens.cgg.gov.in/) in June,2022 to make the process of filing maintenance cases hassle-free and transparent as per the provisions laid out in the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens (MWPSC) Act, 2007 and State's Rules,2011 Constituted State Council on Older Persons for effective Implementation of National Policy on Older Persons committee as per Rule 22 of the “Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules


District Committees have been constituted in Districts under the Chairmanship of the District Collectors duly involving the Government Officials, Non-Governmental Organizations, Representativesfrom Senior Citizens for effective implementation of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior CitizensAct, 2007 in the District.
